#211.001 Spiderman Pullovers

  1. Use a hill, tower, or padded wall just far enough away from the bar to be able to “walk” up the wall while pulling the chin to the bar.

  2. Walk to the top of the wall and kick over to put belly on bar.

  3. Shift wrist and lift upper body to finish in a front support.

*** Chin must stay pulling toward the bar with focus on the bar.   Gymnast should NEVER let head drop back and look behind towards the floor.  

Modifications and Progressions:

  1. Walk up wall and back down

  2. Walk up and lift one leg to point toward ceiling

  3. Walk up and kick over to belly, bring feet back down without front support

  4. Use a jr. bar or make the bar very low with mat stack under so feet may contact floor at all times.

  5. Use tower mat to introduce pullovers on high bar
